1. Is there public transportation?
Dean Transportation will be providing a shuttle from the Eyde Building in East Lansing (4660 S. Hagadorn Rd.) to Old Town from 6pm-11pm both Friday and Saturday.
2. Is Oktoberfest a fundraiser?
Yes! By attending, sponsoring, or volunteering at Old Town Oktoberfest you are helping with the Old Town Commercial Association’s (OTCA) mission to continue the development of Old Town, Lansing.
This event is a major fundraiser for OTCA, accounting for nearly 20% of its annual operating budget. The OTCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the continued revitalization of Lansing's historic Old Town district.

3. Where is the festival located and how do I get there?
Old Town Oktoberfest is located in the park & parking lot on the corner of Turner St. & Grand River Ave.
You can also get to the festival by following the Rivertrail down a few miles to get to Burchard Park.
From the East: Take Saginaw/Oakland/Grand River West toward Lansing. Veer Right onto Grand River Ave. Follow Grand River Ave. into Old Town to the Turner and Grand River intersection.
From the West: Take Oakland East toward East Lansing. Turn North (left) onto Washington Ave. Turn Right onto Grand River Ave. Follow Grand River to the Turner & Grand River intersection.
From I-496 (South): Take the Pennsylvania Rd. Exit. Turn North (right) onto Pennsylvania. Turn West (left) onto Grand River Ave. Follow Grand River to the Turner & Grand River intersection.
From the North: Take Cedar St. South. Turn West (right) onto Grand River Ave. Follow Grand River to the Turner & Grand River intersection.
4. What is included with the price of an admission ticket?
With your entrance to Old Town Oktoberfest you receive a souvenir beer mug and three food/drink tickets.
5. Where should I park?
You can park anywhere on the streets of Old Town. Parking north on Turner St., north on Clinton and on Center St. has no time limit. You can also park in the neighborhood just west of Old Town, or park downtown and follow the River Trail north about ½ mile. Handicap parking is available at the festival site.
6. Can I bring my kids?
We welcome kids on Saturday from 2-7 p.m. There will be a kids area with German crafts and an instrument petting zoo hosted by Elderly Instruments. Strollers are not permitted in the tent, but you can park your stroller outside the tent in a secure area.
Friday at the festival and Saturday starting at 7 p.m. is strictly 21 and over for liquor license control reasons.
7. Can I bring my pets?
Sorry, no pets are allowed! We cannot allow any animals to be at our festival due to health code regulations.
